The science around GLP-1 drugs and cancer is suddenly getting a lot more interesting

The Washington Post: Sarina Ailawadi, professor at the School of Medicine, reported that among patients with chronic pancreatitis—a major pancreatic cancer risk factor—those taking GLP-1 drugs were more than 50% less likely to develop pancreatic cancer. Her findings added to growing evidence that GLP-1 medications may help prevent certain cancers.
