Accessibility guidelines encourage developers to create clean, organized and user-friendly digital interfaces. This leads to better user experiences for everyone, as well-designed interfaces are easier to navigate and interact with.
One of the ways Case Western Reserve University honors our commitment to diversity and inclusion is through the Digital Accessibility Policy. The Digital Accessibility Policy Guidelines help lower the barriers to equity that could prevent access for everyone. The University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education’s (UCITE) next First Friday event will explore this topic.
La Tasha Simms, digital accessibility leader on University Technology’s Teaching and Learning Technologies team, will present “Digital Accessibility is for Everyone” Oct. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Herrick Room at the Allen Memorial Medical Library.
Simms will reflect on what digital accessibility looks like and how faculty members and graduate teaching assistants can receive support and guidance.
Lunch will be provided.
