Starting Oct. 16, the HCM login security for members of the Case Western Reserve University community will be upgraded with Verified DUO Push to strengthen data protection against phishing.
This enhanced method will require users to enter a six-digit code shown in the DUO prompt after SSO login into the DUO Mobile app. Additionally, this new process will change the way users log into and access HCM by replacing standard DUO Push with Verified DUO Push.
Authentication methods that will no longer be supported include:
- DUO Tokens
- DUO Mobile passcodes
- Text message passcodes
- Phone call verification
- Bypass codes
FIDO2-compliant Security Key remains a supported option (self-purchase required and must be registered with DUO).
To log in to HCM, users will be required to:
- Update the DUO Mobile app to the 4.0 version or higher
- Review setup steps in the Knowledge Base
- Transition to Verified DUO Push or a Security Key FIDO2 if a DUO token user
- Download the DUO Mobile app from the device’s app store.
