View comprehensive overview of benefits and changes for 2026

During Benefits Fair Week, which will take place Nov. 3–7, benefits vendors will host a series of live webinars tailored specifically for Case Western Reserve University faculty and staff. These sessions will cover various topics related to benefits available to employees, including important updates and changes for the 2026 plan year. 

The Department of Human Resources encourages employees to participate in numerous webinars to gain valuable insights and make informed decisions about benefits. Scheduled presentations include: 

  • Benefits Overview: A comprehensive overview of CWRU benefits and changes for 2026 for healthcare, life insurance, childcare, tuition and retirement;
  • Medicare Basics: A Medicare representative from Medical Mutual will explain the basics of Medicare Parts A and B and information to help choose a Medicare plan;
  • Medical Mutual and Superior Dental: Representatives from Medical Mutual and Superior Dental will cover open enrollment, medical and dental plan reviews, telehealth, wellness programs and other resources;
  • Flexible Spending and Dependent Care Accounts: A representative from Meritain Health will cover ways to save pre-tax dollars with a flexible spending account to use to pay for qualifying medical expenses and the Dependent Care Account for childcare expenses;
  • College Advantage: Learn about Ohio’s CollegeAdvantage 529 Plans, one of the nation’s top-rated plans, to help make college doable; and
  • Vanguard: A timeline to retirement and retirement income. 

Employees also have the opportunity to attend presentations on “Facilitating Collaborative & Productive Meetings” and “Immigration Hiring Practices at CWRU,” hosted by the Professional Development Center.
