From tours of the newly renovated Olin Hall and explorations of Sears think[box] to cultural garden walks and student-led art tours, the weekend offered something for everyone—and 27 events reached full capacity.
The Homecoming Court added extra excitement to the weekend. This year’s members were Ervin Abbeyquaye, Gabrielle Alphonse, Ify Chidi, Zelene Desire, Ava Johnson, Sharese Lucas, Regan Manning, Malcolm Miller, Desir’ee Neal and Justen Pippens. Crowned as royalty were Gabrielle Alphonse, Regan Manning and Desir’ee Neal.
On the field, the Spartans made their mark with a dominating 62–21 victory over Allegheny College, becoming their third straight win of the season. The Homecoming Tailgate was another highlight, drawing over 2,000 students—the largest turnout ever—and setting a lively tone for the day. And, the volleyball team capped the weekend by upsetting 10th-ranked Washington University in St. Louis.
Reunion celebrations ranged from the Class of 1975’s 50th anniversary to the Graduate Dance Programs’ golden jubilee, giving alumni a chance to relive memories while seeing how the university has evolved. Accomplished alumni were honored with awards—and social events, including the Parent & Family Social, also took place, rounding out a homecoming full of energy, connection and Spartan pride.
