Susan Helper, the Frank Tracy Carlton Professor of Economics, criticized General Motors’ closure of a plant in Lordstown in an op-ed for cleveland.com.

The piece, titled “Closure of General Motors’ Lordstown plant was not inevitable. It resulted from GM’s own mismanagement and flawed public policies,” examines how decisions from General Motors’ executives largely caused the shutdown in Helper’s eyes.
