“Why Diversity in Genome Science and Medicine Is a Scientific and Social Justice Imperative”

The Department of Bioethics will host a talk with Charles Rotimi, scientific director of the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health, Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to noon in Wolstein Research Building, Room 1413.

Rotimi will present “Why diversity in genome science and medicine is a scientific and social justice imperative” for the inaugural Professor Patricia A. Marshall Lecture in Genomics and Equity. The lecture will launch the Bioethics Center for Community Health and Genomic Equity (CHANGE), which will address ethical issues related to health equity and genomics.
