Case Western Reserve University has assembled a diverse team to develop and commercialize “live” joints to address debilitating and chronic illness, known as osteoarthritis (OA).
The innovative project, titled OMEGA: Orchestrating Multifaceted Engineering for Growing Artificial Joints, aims to revolutionize traditional treatments for osteoarthritis through groundbreaking advancements of cell regeneration. These biologically engineered joints will restore function and improve long-term quality of life for those living with OA.
With the expertise and knowledge of researchers, scientists, engineers and healthcare providers, the OMEGA project is committed to transforming the future of OA treatments to improve the mobility and independence of individuals living with this degenerative disease.
