What to Expect
Over the course of about two years, you’ll take courses that will help you understand the impact of ethical issues in medicine within different cultural traditions. Combining both bioethics and public health, your curriculum will span from public health ethics, to ethical issues in genetics/genomics, to neuroethics. In addition to your classes in Cleveland, you’ll have the option to study abroad to take courses such as women's health and public health issues in the Netherlands or international bioethics policy and practice in Costa Rica. You’ll also apply that knowledge in clinical rotations where you’ll experience medical ethics in action, figuring out how you can contribute to the discipline and be a leader in the field.
