xLab is proud to announce the formation of the xLab Advisory Board, an esteemed group of executives and partners chosen to counsel the program by shaping its long-term strategic plan and addressing its role in digital transformation.
“Providing support to legacy companies on their digital transformation efforts is where xLab plays a vital role among manufacturers in the Midwest. The board, with their insight and unique perspectives, will advise us on programming in this rapidly changing space of digital transformation. There are opportunities across all industries, and our students and faculty are here to help,” said Youngjin Yoo, xLab Faculty Director and Professor of Information Systems at the Weatherhead School of Management.
Several Case Western Reserve University alumni have stepped up to serve on the board.
“Being a part of the XLab means that I can give back to those that helped shape my career and while inspiring students with real world experiences in the fields of manufacturing and engineering. In engineering and manufacturing digital transformations are critical to keep up with the demands of consumers and the pace of change happening in Industry. Technology can eliminate waste, prevent unnecessary downtime, and increase transparency that leads to new business models to advance the offerings of suppliers and the end users. I am excited for the opportunity to engage with the students and other board members on challenges we face and opportunities we see to push for new and innovative digital transformations in business,” said Greg Gumbs, President & CEO of Bosch Rexroth Corporation.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Sherry Neubert, Vice President and CIO, is one of the regional executives lending support.
“I'm excited to serve on the xLab Advisory Board with such a distinguished group of leaders. As more companies adopt new strategies to compete in a digital economy, I'm looking forward to sharing my own perspectives from Goodyear's digital transformation journey,” said Neubert.
