WASHINGTON, D.C. – The President worked with the Senate to help move healthcare reform legislation and Congress worked at passing additional FY2010 appropriations measures.
Appropriations and Budget – An update on Recovery Act reporting, progress of FY2010 appropriations bills, and requested science research funding in FY2011.
Energy – The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works attempted to mark-up a climate change/energy bill.
Higher Education – Recent developments on reauthorization implementation and the Department of Education releases a template for net price calculator for colleges.
NASA – Administrator Charles Bolden announces a reorganization of the NASA Advisory Council
National Institutes of Health – Updates on stimulus funding awards, the work of the Scientific Management Review Board and a recently released report on managing conflicts of interest.
Research – Recent developments on regulation of highly dangerous pathogens and the establishment of a national research study recruitment registry.

Election Results on Statewide Ballot Issues – Reports on how state issues 1, 2 and 3 fared at the polls.
Legislation – Updaes on an operating budget correction bill, introduction of another STEM tax credit bill, and a resolution that would alter State Issue 3 as approved by voters.
Other States – California and Nebraska address stem cell research issues, and a report comparing states on K-12 educational standards and outcomes.
