Arin Miller-Tait is the Senior Director of Community Education at University Circle Inc. (UCI). Working at the intersection of community development and education, Miller-Tait specializes in strategies and programs that connect people, ideas, and places through experience. Drawing on almost 25 years of experience in schools, nonprofits, and cultural institutions, she creates community-focused events and initiatives that increase opportunity and access to learning resources for all, especially the youth and families of historically excluded communities. Arin is also co-founder and board president of Teaching Cleveland, a nonprofit that connects students and educators with Cleveland’s history, politics, and culture to inspire a love of place. She lives in Cleveland Heights, with her husband and two dogs, and is an avid cook, gardener, and reader.
"I love serving on the neighborhood advisory council because it not only keeps me connected to what’s happening at Case and in the surrounding neighborhoods, but it gives UCI a chance to support the efforts of community members and connect them to resources in the Circle," says Miller-Tait. "On a personal note, I relish the opportunity to get to know our neighbors, to get to share in their gifts and work together toward a common goal."
