Providing educational opportunities for high school students
Welcome to the TRIO Upward Bound Program at Case Western Reserve University. The Upward Bound Program is a federal pre-college TRIO Program in the Division of Student Affairs. We encourage you to learn more about our program and invite the participation of eligible participants.
Upward Bound is the oldest pre-college program at Case Western Reserve, having been established in 1966. The Upward Bound Program at Case is funded to serve 113 students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District as well as Euclid High School.
We are committed to providing access to postsecondary education to low-income and potential first-generation college secondary school students, beginning at the ninth grade through the 12th grade. Through services provided by our program, which include academic assistance, counseling and advising, academic instruction, tutoring, college planning and placement assistance, cultural activities, internships, community service opportunities, and career exposure during the summer and the school year, we aim to increase the number of underrepresented individuals obtaining a four year college degree
