The degree of damage to the neural tissues was classed into
four grades. Level of damage from two pulse types, lead and
lag, are shown below, plotted against the charge density and
the charge.

Parameter 'k'
A model relating current, pulse phase and contact size was
developed. Maximum current amplitude, maximum charge per
phase, and maximum charge density per phase is shown in
the figure against electrode perimeter and electrode area.
A parameter ‘k’ was derived from the fit model.
