New Requirement for Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test for Certain Air Travelers

To Our International Students:

Happy New Year!  We look forward to seeing you on campus soon.

There are new requirements related to air travel that are important for all students to be aware of but particularly if you’re making plans to travel to the United States after spending time abroad.

Beginning January 5, at 12:01AM ET, there are new requirements applicable to air passengers (2 years of age and older) traveling to the United States from China, Hong Kong, or Macau, and those traveling from Seoul, Toronto, and Vancouver who have been in China, Hong Kong, or Macau in the past 10 days.

These passengers, regardless of citizenship or vaccination status, must show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 2 days before their flight departs. Anyone who had COVID-19 in the 90 days prior to traveling to the United States can show documentation of recovery from COVID-19 instead of a negative test.

We hope this information is helpful.  Please reach out if you think that International Student Services can assist with anything more.

Best Regards,
Marielena
