November 20 Message to International Students: ISS Staff Working Remotely as of November 30

To Our International Students:

Interim President Cowan and Provost Vinson notified faculty and staff on November 19 that they should all make arrangements to work remotely.  Staff members in the Center for International Affairs will begin working remotely on November 30 and will plan to resume limited on-campus services on January 4, 2021.  Those services will look similar to what has been offered throughout the fall semester.  If our plans change in any way, we will notify students as soon as possible.

Staff will be available for all scheduled appointments through Tuesday, November 24.  If you need to collect anything from International Student Services, please make an appointment to visit the office by Tuesday, November 24. If you are unable to visit ISS by November 24, you can submit a non-refundable FedEx Request. Please submit your FedEx Request by 12pm on Tuesday so that we can prepare your package for sending before the university closes to observe Thanksgiving, starting Wednesday, November 25 through Friday, November 27.

Additional information about how we plan to continue supporting you while working remotely will be sent early next week.  We are very grateful for your patience and understanding as we make this unexpected transition.

We hope that you are able to relax a bit over the next several days and feel refreshed as you prepare for finals.  Stay safe and stay well!

Best Regards,
Marielena Maggio, M.A.
