Dr. Makhlouf is specialized in multimodality cardiovascular image analysis. Dr. Makhlouf has extensive research experience analyzing non invasive cardiovascular images, extracting radiomic and elemental features and utilize AI and machine learning approaches to correlate them with cardiovascular diseases and outcomes! He is also interested in studying the social and environmental aspects of cardiovascular health and health care inequity. He has co-authored many papers on topics including neighborhood walkability, air pollution, and AI analysis of cardiac imaging. His current research focuses on developing advanced and more accurate AI models for prevention, risk assessment, risk stratification, diagnosis and making treatment decisions for cardiovascular diseases. He is also interested in addressing and studying health care disparities and socioenvironmental driving factors of cardiovascular diseases.
