Our research primarily focuses on advancing biomedical imaging techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes. While photoacoustic imaging plays a significant role in our work, we also explore various optical and ultrasound technologies. Our mission is to develop innovative imaging methods for applications such as neuroimaging, early cancer detection, and intraoperative histology.

In addition to technological advancements, our lab is dedicated to translating these innovations into clinical settings. We actively collaborate with medical professionals to ensure our imaging techniques address real-world healthcare challenges. Our efforts have led to the creation of tools like ultraviolet photoacoustic microscopy for label-free intraoperative pathological diagnosis and state-of-the-art photoacoustic computed tomography systems for non-invasive functional imaging. Furthermore, our lab serves as a dynamic training ground for the next generation of scientists and engineers, fostering interdisciplinary research and collaboration. We are committed to advancing biomedical imaging and improving patient care through innovative research and practical applications.
