Our Mission - Our research team develops nanotechnology tools to improve the therapeutic delivery to challenging disease targets such as the heart and brain. Our focuses include addressing residual risk and plaque resolution in atherosclerosis, improving gene therapy delivery to cardiac tissue, preventing cardiac fibrosis in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and improving Alzheimer’s outcomes via immunomodulation. We also have a long-standing interest in toxicology of synthetic and environmental nano-/microparticles and their effects on cardiometabolic health.
