Brandy Schillace, PhD, is research associate and public engagement for the Dittrick Medical History Center and Museum and managing editor of Culture, Medicine and Psychiatry. She is author of Death’s Summer Coat: What the History of Death and Dying Teaches Us About Life and Living (2016). Her next book, Clockwork Futures, will appear in 2017. Dr. Schillace gives public talks, appears on “Sound of Ideas” (NPR), and directs Exchanges, a series for the Global Center for Health Innovation, Cleveland.
