The Combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Degrees (CBMD) is intended for highly motivated CWRU undergraduate students who are candidates for any bachelor's degree and whose objective is to complete a Master of Science in Regenerative Medicine and Entrepreneurship. Qualified students may be admitted to the MS program and pursue the simultaneous completion of requirements for both the master’s and bachelor’s degrees.
Who Qualifies?
Current CWRU undergraduates who are actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in any field may apply for the CBMD program. We recommend considering the program if you are majoring in one of the following:
- Biology/biological sciences
- Biomedical Engineering
- Biomolecular Engineering
- Biochemistry
- Business Management
- Chemical Engineering
- Engineering
- Evolutionary Biology
- Political Science
- Systems Biology

Application Requirements
Students who plan to apply for this program are required to meet with the program director, Dr. Tracey Bonfield, prior to submitting their application in order to create a plan of study including remaining undergraduate courses and MS courses.
Required Materials for a Completed Application:
- Online Application: Start the online application. Please indicate that you are applying to the School of Medicine < Combined Bachelors/Masters programs < Regenerative Medicine and Entrepreneurship program.
- Transcripts: Include school-issued unofficial transcripts, scanned and uploaded for all colleges or universities attended. Electronic transcripts can also be emailed to gradtranscripts@case.edu.
- Resume/CV: Upload your current resume/CV outlining all work experience and volunteer roles with timeframes. Make sure to highlight any completed research positions or opportunities experienced.
- Statement of Purpose: In one to two pages, address your interest in regenerative medicine and entrepreneurship and how you hope to utilize this program in your career path
- Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation are required. A professor who can attest to your academic or professional experience is recommended to write one or more of these recommendations. The online application will request recommenders' contact info for electronic submission.
- PPOS form: Undergraduate students can obtain a PPOS form here, and should bring it with them to their meeting with the program director.
Note: The application system should automatically waive the application fee. Graduate test scores are optional.
