CWRU’s Shuo Li elected fellow of the International Academy of Medical and Biological Engineering

Case Western Reserve University professor Shuo Li, PhD, has been elected a fellow of the International Academy of Medical and Biological Engineering (IAMBE), one of the highest international honors in the field. Election to IAMBE recognizes individuals whose work has had a transformative impact on medical and biological engineering worldwide.
A professor in biomedical engineering and computer and data science at the Case School of Engineering, Li focuses his research on AI in medical imaging with contributions that have been supported by multiple National Institutes of Health R01 and National Science Foundation grants and collaborations with leading health systems.
“I’m honored to join IAMBE and deeply grateful to my colleagues, collaborators and students,” said Li, who has mentored more than 80 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. “This recognition affirms our commitment to developing safe, scalable AI that improves patient outcomes while reducing costs and environmental impact.”
