Donate school supplies for local students
Approximately 50 local K–12 students are still in need of basic school supplies for the new school year. Even a small contribution can help a student begin the school year feeling more prepared and supported.
Farshid Bagheri Saravi, a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in electrical, computer, and systems engineering at Case Western Reserve University, is coordinating a community effort to collect and distribute supplies directly to the students.
Members of the CWRU community who would like to contribute can drop off new school supplies—including notebooks, pencils, folders, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors and other basic classroom items—at the Center for Civic Engagement and Learning, located at Tinkham Veale University Center Suite 165.
Donations will be collected through Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
