In collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth System, BioMotiv and the Museum of Natural History, the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) will host a panel discussion on gender bias in medicine and science.
Held Monday, Feb. 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom, “Gender Bias in Science and Medicine: Understanding the Present to Change the Future” will feature opening remarks from Diana Billimoria, the KeyBank Professor and chair and professor of organizational behavior.
The panel will include:
- Akram Boutros, CEO of the MetroHealth System;
- Evalyn Gates, CEO of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History;
- Lynn Singer, deputy provost and vice president of academic affairs at CWRU;
- Charis Eng, the ACS Clinical Research Professor, the Sondra J. & Stephen R. Hardis Endowed Chair of Cancer Genomic Medicine, chairwoman of the Genomic Medicine Institute and director, Center for Personalized Genetic Healthcare; and
- Juliana M. Woda, project manager at BioMotiv
