CAMPUS + COMMUNITY | September 2, 2025
STORY BY: EDITORIAL STAFF

On Sept. 12, University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) will host Fresh Check Day—which aims to promote mental health awarenss and suicide prevention across college campuses—at Case Western Reserve University.

To ensure Fresh Check Day is a success, the UHCS is seeking volunteers able to foster an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to have open mental health conversations and discover resources available at CWRU and in the Cleveland community.

During this event, attendees will have access to various interactive booths, peer-to-peer messaging and support from CWRU departments and student groups. Additionally, there will be snacks, music and prize giveaways for student participants who visit at least five booths and hand in a bingo card.

If you’re interested in supporting a booth for Fresh Check Day, complete the volunteer signup form on the UHCS website.
