TutorTrac Instructions

TutorTrac

TutorTrac is a web-based application you can use to schedule tutoring appointments at Case Western Reserve University. You can schedule up to five tutoring appointments in a seven-day period.

Schedule a tutoring appointment by following the steps listed below:

  1. Log in to TutorTrac at tutortrac.case.edu using your CWRU network ID and password
  2. In the 'Schedule an Appointment' block, select 'Find first available immediately' from the 'Choose Date and Center' drop-down menu.
  3. Select a course from the 'Choose a subject' drop-down menu. You will only see courses in which you are currently enrolled.
  4. Select 'Peer Tutoring' from the 'Choose a service/reason' drop-down menu
  5. Click the 'Search' button
  6. Select the appointment you would like to reserve on the 'Available Time Slots' window
  7. In the 'Notes' field, provide the tutor with a brief statement about what you would like to discuss during your appointment
  8. Click the 'Confirm' button to reserve the appointment.

**Note, if you select an appointment that is being offered "in person or online", the appointment is defaulted to in-person.  Before you select "confirm", if you prefer Zoom, make sure to click the dot for "online" **

After you schedule an appointment, you will receive a confirmation for your appointment. The main menu in TutorTrac will display information about your upcoming appointments.

Please note that cancelling an appointment under 24 hours in advance is considered a "missed" session because that time slot is lost to other students.  While emergencies can happen, this should be the exception rather than the norm.  Thus, each student is allowed up to 5 misses before Tutortrac access is disabled.

Tutoring is conducted in-person or through Zoom. For Zoom appointments, you will be able to access the Zoom link for your appointment through your TutorTrac main page, under upcoming appointments no sooner than 10 minutes before your appointment.

For questions about peer tutoring or TutorTrac, email tutoring@case.edu or call 216.368.3478. For technical issues, please consult the Troubleshooting Guide first.
