Conversations that Inspire: Coaching, Learning, Leadership and Change (Massive Open Online Course)
Coaching can inspire and motivate people to learn, change and become more effective . Although most attempts are “coaching for compliance” (coaching someone to your wishes or expectations), decades of behavioral and neuroscience research show us that “coaching with compassion” (coaching someone to their dreams and desires) is more effective.
"Conversations that Inspire: Coaching, Learning, Leadership and Change" is a five-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), with three modules per week. Each module will consist of a video, and some will have assigned and recommended readings. Many students will have reflective exercises such as writing in a Personal Learning Journal and online asynchronous discussions. There will be four personal learning assignments and five tests of comprehension that will constitute successful completion of the course.

Course Objectives
- Examine the theory, research techniques and skills in effective coaching (i.e., coaching with compassion).
- Explore the building of a coaching relationship and the ethics of helping others
