Shearwood McClelland, MD, a member of Case CCC's Population and Cancer Prevention Program, is the corresponding author for the study "Disparities in access to radiotherapy among Hispanic/Latinx populations in the United States: How far have we left to go?" published in the Oct. 26, 2023, issue of the American Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Following up on their seminal work in 2017, McClelland and colleagues evaluated recent research in radiation therapy disparities among the Hispanic/Latinx in the U.S. finding that access disparities remain prominent, despite increasing interest in disparities research.
