While AIM2Flourish is something that students can participate in on their own through the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit, the program fits best when professors use it in their own classes as an experiential learning assignment for their students. Right now a huge benefit is that the interviews can take place in-person or virtually using Zoom, Skype, etc. The Fowler Center works with universities and professors all over the world who use this program in their classes.

The mission of the Center for Engineering Action is to provide students with opportunities to participate in multi-disciplinary team-based design projects, research and coursework which focuses on advancing the public good through partnerships between local, regional, and global communities and Case Western Reserve University. Students participating in project can do so through enrollment in a credit bearing course or extracurricularly. Our student teams work around the world as well as here in the Cleveland area. Projects include solar implementation, water distribution and medical device design.

Funding is provided to underrepresented minority students, helping them gain applied research experience, enhance their education, and successfully prepare for a variety of careers or continued higher education.

Each scholar is paired with a Trauma Center Faculty Affiliate for a semester-long research mentorship. Scholars have opportunities to participate in research workshops and trainings, present and attend national and local research conferences, and complete a capstone project related to their applied research experience.

Eligibility: Only Anthropology majors who have an overall GPA of at least 3.0, have obtained at least sophomore status, and who have completed a minimum of 12 credits in anthropology, including ANTH 102 (Being Human: An Introduction to Social and Cultural Anthropology), are eligible to apply for these funds.

Project Eligibility: The fellowship is available to students with an interest in a project related in some way to business activities. These funds can be used to support a Senior Capstone project. They may also be used to support an experience or project conducted in conjunction with Study Abroad. The expenses associated with experiences such as attending field schools and conferences are not eligible.

Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC) is all about exposing the best young talent to the abundance of professional opportunities in Northeast Ohio. It’s a unique summer internship program open to students who are rising sophomores, juniors, rising seniors and recent graduates and attend one of our eight partner schools: Case Western Reserve, Colgate, Cornell, Denison, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, Smith, and University of Chicago. The UAS7 Internship Program is designed for students interested in semester long hands-on research opportunities at a German university of applied sciences.
