Join us for an afternoon of poetry featuring the student and physician awardees of the annual William Carlos Williams poetry competition and physician, poet, essayist, and children's book author Dr. Diana Farid. The William Carlos Williams poetry competition has celebrated medical student poets for 43 years, nurturing nascent physicians' appetite for the arts and humanities. New in 2025, the competition has added a physician category to celebrate doctors' creative appetites, as well. Sponsored by Northeast Ohio Medical University, Case Western Reserve University, Hiram College Center for Literature and Medicine, and Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. The event will be offered in hybrid format, with the in-person portion taking place in CWRU's Health Education Campus.
