JOCHUM-MOLL FOUNDATION

The JOCHUM-MOLL FOUNDATION was incorporated in 1961 in Ohio by MTD PRODUCTS, INC., and its subsidiaries. Named for 2 founders of the corporation, Theodore Moll and Emil Jochum, the foundation emphasized HIGHER EDUCATION, EDUCATION, welfare (see WELFARE/RELIEF), and HOSPITALS AND HEALTH CARE. The Jochum-Moll Foundation has also made grants to Protestant churches and community funds, supporting primarily Ohio institutions. In 1992, with over $17.5 million in assets, the foundation distributed $540,520 in 50 grants, ranging from $1,000 to $142,020. Recipients included the CITY MISSION ($142,020), the Lutheran School Assn. ($60,000), and BALDWIN-WALLACE COLLEGE ($50,000). The Jochum-Moll Foundation has only given to pre-selected organizations and has not accepted applications. In 1994 foundation president was Theo Moll; its offices were located at corporate offices on W. 130th St. in PARMA.
