At Case School of Engineering, we’re committed to enhancing the academic experience for all students. With our Case Advancement Fellows program, we’re committed to supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including those from historically under-resourced communities, students with disabilities and others who have faced significant hurdles to academic achievement.

About the Program

The Case Advancement Fellows program is a cohort-based program for outstanding PhD students who contribute to the culture of diversity within the school. The program provides fellows with:

  • Mentorship opportunities from industry partners, faculty, and peers;
  • Professional development and networking experiences, including hosting external speakers and attending national conferences; and
  • A community of support and success, while broadening the perspectives and engagement of the school as a whole.

The program has hosted a wide range of events, including seminars with faculty from Auburn University, Duke University, University of California San Diego, The Ohio State University and University of Maryland. Our members have attended conferences including the Annual Biomedical Research Conference For Minoritized Scientists, National Society of Black Engineers Convention and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers National Convention, among others. They’ve also hosted webinars such as “Rora: How to Negotiate” and service events including RePlay for Kids.
