The Engagement Committee was originally established in August 2022 by President Kaler following the university’s first-ever combined faculty and staff engagement survey. The Office for Campus Enrichment and Engagement has been charged to reimagine and lead the Engagement Committee in developing strategies to improve employee satisfaction, productivity, and retention and lead initiatives that foster a positive organizational culture.
As the university looks ahead to another engagement survey, we want to collaborate across the institution to unleash the wealth of experiences, knowledge, and creativity that exists at CWRU. We recognize organizational-level impact requires organization-wide involvement. In Spring 2026, we began reimagining and reassembling the committee, which will include one faculty member and one staff member from each school at CWRU as well as members of University General.
The Engagement Committee will assemble at the Engagement Summit in May 2026 to begin co-creating a vision for how the group will function in an effort to build collaboration and enhance the employee experience here at CWRU.
