Case Chats

The reimagined Hard Conversation Series, comes in a new look but same focus. The Office for Campus Enrichment and Engagement is proud to introduce Case Chats! This conversation series is aimed to assist in the learning experience of students by assisting the development of skills to begin the conversations on difficult or uncomfortable discussions.

Through interactive sessions, students will be challenged to step out of their comfort zones and practice communication techniques that foster understanding, empathy and employ strategies to learn from one another. By encouraging students to navigate challenging topics the program builds confidence, civil discourse skills and stronger interpersonal connections.

Case Chats is meant to foster conversations one round table at a time.

Join us on April 15 from 6:00–7:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center's Senior Classroom as we hear from Miranda Leppla, Director of the Environmental Law Clinic within the Milton and Charlotte Kramer Law Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

We will have an engaging discussion on the impacts of air quality and the rapid growth of data centers. This session will explore key issues including energy demand, water usage, economic costs, and long-term sustainability.

Following the presentation, participants will break into small, moderated groups for interactive discussions, offering an opportunity to dive deeper into topics such as air quality, energy use, and broader environmental impacts.
