P. Mandel Childs is a 1991 graduate of Cleveland State University with a Business Administration degree concentration of study in Management and; Labor Relations Law. While attending Cleveland State he was a standout track sprinter, active member of the NAACP, involved in student government, Freshman Advisor, and an active participant and advocate for social and; civic equality during the longest college protest in United States history. Mr. Childs continued a call to higher learning where he obtained his Master of Arts equivalence at Ashland Theological Seminary with a focus in Homiletics and African American Religious Studies.

Mr. Childs is employed full time as an educator at Lutheran High School East in Cleveland Heights, OH teaching African/African-American History, Public Speaking, Health and Family Living. Mr. Childs also advocates for youth by serving as a former Board Member for Youth for Christ, Greater Cleveland Area, former football coach with the Maple Heights Lions, basketball coach for various teams in various cities, Head Track Coach at Lutheran High School East both male and female teams, soccer referee, actively involved in the Big Brother/Little Brother program, Youth Ministry Leader with various churches and serving as an educational instructor for National Youth Sports Program (NYSP) for the past eight (8) years. Not only is Mr. Childs active in NYSP as an adult he was a participant of NYSP as a child for several years at The Ohio State University.

Other career activities include Liaison to various Mayors in the suburbs of Cleveland, OH; Lecture Speaker at various colleges, universities, churches and conferences. Consultant with various public school boards and its administration. Key Note Speaker for a number of high school graduations, African- American historical moments and events and also other social functions.

Mr. Childs is married to the lovely, beautiful and talented Loretta L. Childs. Her gifts include singing, directing choirs and; musical groups, speaking, baking, working with youth and encouraging others to be ALL that God has called them to be. In this union they are blessed with five (5) dynamic children; Desiree DeAnn (25), Amber Nicole (18), Jewell Janine (16), Michael Aaron (15) and Andrew DeAndre (14). Jewell, Andrew, Amber and; Michael (JAAM) are an international singing group having performed at the Q-Arena, Progressive Field and for Carnival Cruise Lines to name a few. The children are active in various sports and are excellent students.
