Tiana Cobb, Athletic Trainer
Tianna Cobb joined the NYSP senior staff in the summer of 2018. She serves as the Medical Coordinator for NYSP and her primary duties include maintaining the health and safety of both the campers and staff through the duration of the NYSP summer program, and providing medical services. She works full-time at Case Western Reserve University as an assistant athletic trainer, and is licensed and certified to practice athletic training, first aid and CPR services in the state of Ohio.
Ms. Cobb comes to Case Western Reserve from Salem University, where she worked as an assistant athletic trainer. Prior to that, she spent two years at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia, where she was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Ms. Cobb received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace University. Following graduation from Baldwin Wallace, she served as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Mount Union, where she primarily worked with cross country, track & field and softball.
She earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia Wesleyan College in May of 2018.
Sharia Devese, Junior & Pre-Junior Coordinator
Sharia Devese (affectionately known as Coach D/Coach Sharia) is a graduate from Cleveland State University majoring in Social Work, minoring in Business Administration and Accounting. She has a commercial drivers license and also has her Health & Life Insurance license for the state of Ohio among other certificates and awards.
Coach D found a passion for the youth early in life hence her background in daycare as a school age teacher and her years of volunteer service at multiple youth organizations throughout the community. She started her coaching career as an elementary girls basketball coach, then moved up to middle girls basketball where she won her first state championship and continued to move up the ladder as a JV coach and also boys & girls/middle school & high school track coaching.
Coach D's love for sports and helping youth with life skills lead her to start a non-profit, build professional portfolios and develop fun interactive activities for her youth programs. Most of all she love what she does and feels blessed to share it all with her loving son Davon, age 11 (Little Coach D).

Leonard Patterson, Activity Director
Leonard Patterson has been named Girls' Coach of the Year for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District four separate times. He has been the Head Girls Basketball Coach for John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, OH since 1993. He is the Activity Director for the National Youth Sports Program. He also has been a security resource officer since 1988.
In 2012, he was named Cleveland Metropolitan District Staff of the Year.
