Saturday Tutoring Program at Church of The Covenant
Launched in 1990, STEP-UP is a founding partner of the Saturday Tutoring Program. The Church of the Covenant hosts the program for students aged 6-17 from across Greater Cleveland (Lorain to Lake Counties) to provide tutoring, academic support, and college/cultural exposure. The program is held for ten Saturdays each semester from 10am to noon.
Student volunteers are always needed! STEP-UP tutors are members of its Student Leadership Team. First-time tutors must attend an orientation prior to serving as a tutor. Orientations are held at 9:15am at the Church of the Covenant (11205 Euclid Avenue) each Saturday of operation. For more information or to join the tutoring team, contact former Project STEP-UP member and current co-Director Brittney Brown Terrell (BSN ’11, JD ’16), or co-Director Rafael Sturdivant at saturdaytutoring@gmail.com.
