Interschool Quantitative Biosciences Program (IQBP) at Case Western Reserve University
The IQBP program at CWRU engages multiple disciplines sharing research and educational training in the quantitative-biological sciences. We aim to attract a diverse group of scientists.
Kathryn Wilcox, Macromolecular Engineering
Kathryn Wilcox is a PhD student in Marcromolecular Engineering. She investigates the elasticity of biomacromolecular assemblies. In this photo she is demonstrating a light scattering instrument.
Tristan Carmeci, Physiology and Biophysics
Tristan Carmeci is a PhD student in Physiology and Biophysics. He works in Dr. Nami Tajima's lab studying the molecular mechanism of neuronal signal transduction.
The CWRU Interschool Quantitative Biosciences program provides interdisciplinary training of graduate students in quantitative aspects of biological sciences through required coursework and research seminars based in multiple schools and departments.
IQBP was created from the offerings of 18 participating departments in three participating schools: Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, the College of Arts and Sciences, and Case School of Engineering.
Participants in the program have the ability to earn a graduate certificate.
