Current Work
Explore some of our ongoing projects that demonstrate the Specialized Program in Integrated Fine Scale Cartographic-Enabled Socio-Environmental Risk (SPICES) approach in action:
- Powered by cutting-edge AI/ML techniques, we investigate the intricate socio-environmental factors contributing to cardiometabolic risk. Our research offers unparalleled insights into individual patient risk profiles, thanks to the integration of a distinctive dataset from the University Hospital's no-cost Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) testing initiative, known as CLARIFY.
Collaborations
SPICES thrives on collaboration. We have forged strong partnerships with the core labs in heart and vascular research at University Hospital Harrington Heart and Vascular Institute, the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine, Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Cardiovascular Prevention and Wellness, Houston Methodist.
