2026-2027 Admissions Timeline for all CWRU MD Programs
Please make sure you are adhering to all CWRU SOM deadlines. Missing deadlines will jeopardize your eligibility for admission.

| May 5, 2026 | AMCAS 2026-2027 application becomes available. |
| June 26, 2026 | First date that medical schools receive verified primary AMCAS applications. |
| July, 2026 | Earliest date for submitting the CWRU secondary application. |
| July - October 15, 2026 | The Admissions Office receives verified AMCAS primary applications and electronically invites applicants to complete CWRU's Secondary Application. |
| October 15, 2026 | Submission deadline for the primary AMCAS application for CWRU SOM. |
| November 15, 2026 | Application deadline for all CWRU SOM program secondary applications. This includes the University Program, the Lerner College Program, and the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) Your entire application must be completed and submitted by November 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (EST). It is to your advantage to complete the secondary promptly and not wait until the deadline. |
| August - November 15, 2026 | Admissions receives and reviews completed applications. Qualified applicants receive email invitations to schedule an interview day at CWRU. |
| September, 2026 - February, 2027 | CWRU SOM interviewing season. |
All applications must undergo AMCAS verification before they are transmitted to medical schools. This can take up to 6 weeks after your application and all required official transcripts are received by AMCAS, and it may take longer during peak processing times. Medical Schools will not receive your application until it is verified by AMCAS.
Letters of recommendation are not needed to receive a secondary application. Your letters can be sent to AMCAS before your completed Secondary Application is received by our office. However, your application will not be reviewed until you have submitted a completed secondary application and all Letters of Recommendation have been received by AMCAS.

| February, March, April 2027 | University Program Open House events for accepted applicants. |
| March, 2027 | Accepted student weekend event for the applicants accepted to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. |
| April 9 | MSTP Open House event for accepted applicants. |
| April 30, 2027 | Notify your program of your final decision regarding your intention to attend and release acceptances to other schools. Please review the AAMC Recommendations for Applicants to understand your responsibilities in this portion of the application process. |
| April - July, 2027 | Case Western Reserve may accept students placed on the alternate list. Please review the AAMC Recommendations for Applicants to understand your responsibilities in this portion of the matriculation process. |
| Early July, 2027 | Classes begin! |
| July, 2027 | White Coat Ceremony, Severance Hall - usually the Sunday following the first day of med school. |
