Congratulations to Lin Mei, MD, PhD, on his retirement from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine

Congratulations to Lin Mei, MD, Ph.D., on his retirement from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Under Dr. Mei's leadership as chair, the Department of Neurosciences grew not only in numbers but also in the depth of collaborative and interdisciplinary research. Dr. Mei successfully invested in new research initiatives, recruited top faculty and scientists, oversaw the renovation of the majority of departmental lab spaces, and spearheaded the creation of an undergraduate neuroscience degree program that quickly ranked as a top neuroscience major in the nation. 
Dr. Mei's mentorship has set the department and the more than 30 postdoctoral fellows and 20 Ph.D. students who have trained with him on a path to future success.
We are sad to see Dr. Mei go but we wish him well in his future endeavors.
