What to Expect

The interview day gives us an opportunity to get to know you better and just as importantly, an opportunity for you to get to know us, our program, our culture, and our community here at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. We do not disclose the format of interview day but there are few things we’d like for you to know.

There is an optional Meet and Greet with our current students the evening before your interview starting at 6:00 p.m. This will take place on the first floor of the Samson Pavilion (also known as the Health Education Campus, or HEC) in the same location your interview will be held. This is an opportunity for you to talk with current students, ask them questions, and hear about their experiences here at CWRU. The faculty and staff will not be there. This is completely casual and we will provide some light snacks.

On your interview day, the faculty and staff will be dressed in professional to business casual attire, and we expect the same for candidates. There is no expectation that you will wear a suit, although you are welcome to do so if that is your preference. A dress shirt and dress pants, a dress, a dress shirt and a skirt, a sweater and dress pants or a skirt would all be appropriate for interview day. Note you will be on your feet for a portion of the day, so you may want to wear comfortable shoes.

Lunch will be provided and we will do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions. In an effort to reduce single use plastics, we do ask that you bring your own water bottle. There are filling stations located throughout the HEC.
