Hello, my name is Dan Clegg and I attended Kent State University where I obtained my B.A. in Biology Pre-Med in 2018 while working full-time as a Critical Care Paramedic for the Cleveland Clinic. I worked with the Cleveland Clinic for the past 10 years and prior to starting the CWRU PA program. Prior to moving back to Ohio, I worked as a Firefighter and Flight Paramedic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I began my journey in medicine the day after I graduated from high school in 2005. I began my prerequisite courses for my EMT-Basic and since then I have turned a career choice into a passion. I am the first and only member of my immediate and extended family to enter the field of medicine. Coming from a rural and medically underserved farming community I have first-hand experience with healthcare disparities and wish to give back to underserved populations upon finishing my education. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and newborn daughter. I also enjoy exercising and the outdoors; hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and just getting together with friends and family.
