Hello, my name is Heath Austin and I am from Denver, CO. I graduated with a B.S. in molecular biology and have spent 5 years doing clinical research with the University of Colorado in infectious diseases. Throughout my time as a clinical trial manager, I was able to work closely and develop relationships with patients, which is what led me to my decision of going back to school. In my free time, I love being outside, in the kitchen, or listening to political podcasts.

Why did you choose the PA program?
I enjoyed my conversations with the faculty and students during my interview. I also chose the program due to its accelerated nature.
What are you looking forward to the most in the PA program?
Expanding my scope of knowledge and clinical rotations
What advice would you give future PA students as they begin to search for programs?
Choose the program you feel most connected to and not the program that is the most convenient. It was a hard decision to not choose a program in my home state just because it was convenient. I am so happy I chose CWRU even though I had to move away!
