Hi! My name is Yara Elboghdady, and I am from the Chicagoland area where I graduated from Benedictine University with a B.S. in health science. Shortly after graduating, I became a certified electrocardiograph technician. Throughout and since my undergraduate studies, I have worked in various areas of healthcare, such as internal medicine, family medicine, urology, pulmonology, sleep medicine as well as in health information management. Over the years, I have volunteered with various non-profit organizations such as Islamic Relief USA, the American Red Cross, PCRF, Pious Projects and have worked on a few smaller-scale projects as well in efforts to eradicate poverty, provide for children in need, improve access to clean water, healthcare, and disease prevention. Along with non-profit work, I love spending time with family and friends, exploring different coffee shops, and really enjoy poetry and spoken word.
