Vice President for Nursing; Chief Nursing Officer; Director of Nursing Research Cedars-Sinai
Linda Burnes Bolton is system chief nurse executive, vice president for nursing, chief nursing officer and director of nursing research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She is one of the principal investigators at the Cedars-Sinai Burns & Allen Research Institute.
She holds board appointments with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, HealthImpact of California and is a trustee of Case Western Reserve University. She earned her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University School of Nursing in 1970. She holds master's in nursing, master's in public health and a doctorate in public health from University of California Los Angeles. She was awarded the Doctor of Science from the State University of New York in 2015.
Dr. Burnes Bolton is a past president of the American Academy of Nursing, National Black Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She was appointed to the National Academy of Medicine in 2015.
