Join Crafters@Case to earn your Wellness Program Community Well-Being Incentive

Faculty and staff can get involved with the Crafters@Case group to earn the Wellness Program Community Well-Being Incentive. Over the last few months, more than 30 knitters, sewers and other artists in the Crafters@Case group have met weekly to create items for a warm holiday season at Moriah House and CARES, two local non-profits servicing Cleveland-area residents in need The group filled 32 boxes, which had:

• 143 hats;
• 90 scarves;
• 47 blankets;
• 15 baby items;
• Five pairs of mittens and
• Four pillows.

The Crafters@Case group is not done crafting; the group has already begun its next project, “Little Hats for Big Hearts.”

Wellness Program Community Well-Being Incentive

The group has been on campus for five years, and last year was included with the Wellness Program’s Community Well-Being Incentive. The community incentive looks to bring faculty and staff from across the campus together to build connections and friendships. Having close relationships at work has been found to positively affect employee retention, safety, work quality and engagement. Wellness participants who would like to earn the incentive must meet with the Crafters@Case group for one hour a week over 12 weeks.
