Visitor parking rates for garages increase

For the first time in more than 15 years, daily visitor rates in Case Western Reserve University’s parking garages have increased, with a full-day rate now $15.

This increase is not connected to faculty/staff monthly parking rates, which saw a modest 3% increase for Fiscal Year 2027 after no increase in FY26.

As a self-sustaining auxiliary service at Case Western Reserve University, Parking Services works to provide safe, clean and well-maintained parking facilities within its own budget to ensure critical university dollars do not get diverted from CWRU’s mission of advancing research and education.

Faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to review monthly parking permit options—including discounted rates for some employees—and, if needed, be added to a waiting list for a garage or lot. While waitlists can be long, Parking Services is working to speed the process for faculty and staff, which starts with a clear understanding of capacity-management and employee utilization rates.
