Beginning March 1, virtual and in-person events

The 2022 Cleveland Humanities Festival offers public programming exploring the theme of “Discourse” through a variety of humanistic perspectives.

Coordinated by the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities of Case Western Reserve University, the festival partners with Cleveland and Northeast Ohio’s major museums, educational institutions and arts organizations. This year it aims to address how we communicate with one another, including the dialogue within and between local communities, cultural institutions, corporations, and other key sites of social exchange.

April 23—Springfest

Taking place the last Saturday of the spring semester, Springfest is a student-planned event that celebrates CWRU and fosters campus unity.

April 23—Hudson Relays

Beginning in 1910, the Hudson Relays was created to commemorate the campus move from Hudson, Ohio to Cleveland, Ohio. Each class's best runners are put to the test in a 26-mile relay around campus. As per tradition, if the same class wins four years in a row, they are treated to a steak and champagne dinner, courtesy of the president and provost. To date, only three classes have ever achieved this goal!

April 18-23—Legacy Week

During Legacy week various university departments, offices, student organizations, staff, faculty and students host programs and events to celebrate the history of Case Western Reserve University.
