Creating Opportunities for Learning and Connecting Among Professionals
CoHealing
The Trauma Center hosts a monthly program called CoHealing (formerly known as Healing Network Nights), which is open to all local helping professionals to explore self-care, process the ups and downs of being a trauma-informed practitioner and foster social connections and quality relationships.
Support for professionals working with individuals and communities who have experienced trauma should not stop after the professional earns their degree. Secondary traumatic stress and burnout is high among this professional working with populations experiencing trauma, therefore resources need to be available to support their continued work in order to promote a more resilient, interdisciplinary network of practitioners.
This program will enhance interprofessional collaboration and connectedness among healthcare professionals providing trauma-informed care while simultaneously reducing the burnout rate. In this way, the Trauma Center aims to serve as a resource to the broader community of helping professionals
